Line Functionality

– 2 Cutting Heads with servo control for cut and chamfer axes

4 DC Drives for cutting head conveyors – position accuracy of -0 to +3 mm

– Laser encoder on infeed of each cutting head for tube position/length calculations

Lead sensor and 20 tail sensors for each head to calculate tube length

Use flaw data and cut parameters to determine optimal cut plan for tube.

– Encoder Feedback for adjusting cutting head height for different pipe diameters

Track tube length/weight through conveyors to bundler system

NDT Functionality

– Encoder Feedback to PLC for tube position and length calculation

– Signals from Flux and Eddy Current Test Stand – capture flaw signal, determine flaws and track flaw positions to Line PLC

– Encoder Feedback for Test Stand Position adjustment for different pipe diameters
